GetResponse is said to be the easiest way to send out newsletters. It has a lot of extra features, too.
The company, which is based in Poland, has a global reach that includes 183 countries and claims to have more than 1 billion subscribers every month.
For features, they are better than most email marketing services. You’ll be hard-pressed to find an email marketing feature they don’t have.
A lot of different things are available, from custom landing pages to advanced automation and reporting.
The landing pages are especially interesting because they are part of Conversion Funnel’s unique feature.
This feature takes care of lead generation, and it can even be used to run an online store where you can accept credit cards and other payment modes. Another thing worth talking about is automation.
You can set up advanced automated campaigns based on things like sales. Other tools can do things for you, but most aren’t as powerful or easy to use as this one.
If you need detailed templates to get started, you’ll also find many of them in GetResponse.
People who sign up for higher-tier plans also get access to their webinar feature and an in-built CRM, which isn’t something you see very often in email marketing platforms.
It was more than enough to get us interested. Then, let’s get more into this tool.
What is GetResponse?
GetResponse is an all-in-one online marketing tool that helps you grow your audience, connect with customers, and boost your online sales.
In one place, you can use more than 30 tools to change your online marketing and see real results. GetResponse Marketing Automation lets you build marketing automation workflows that are based on customer data and behaviour.
If you want to give customers personalized marketing experiences, get them excited, and make more sales, GetResponse is the best way to do it.

GetResponse is an email marketing app that lets you do things like:
• create a mailing list and capture data
• send e-newsletters to the subscribers
• automate your email marketing using ‘autoresponders.’
• view and analyze statistics related to your email campaigns
In the last few years, however, GetResponse has changed its focus.
The product now aims to be more of an “all-in-one” e-commerce and online marketing tool rather than a “traditional” email marketing tool.
So, in addition to email marketing features, GetResponse now also has a website builder, chat features, eCommerce features, webinar hosting, landing pages, and automated sales funnels.
GetResponse is the right choice for you if:
• Your goal is to get leads:
There aren’t many newsletter tools I tried that are truly built for inbound marketing. GetResponse is one of the few.
It has flexible forms, a landing page editor, Google Analytics integration, and sophisticated automation for segmenting and emails, so you can both get and keep new leads.
You can also use it to capture leads and keep them coming back. On top of that, you can even host live and on-demand webinars with them, too.
Their Conversion Funnel feature lets you do all of this in an organized way and quickly see where things are working the best.
• You’re eCommerce:
There are a lot of great features for people who run an online store, like abandoned cart campaigns, dynamic email content (based on what people buy), and sales tracking, all of which can help you make more money in your eCommerce site.
Using the Conversion funnel feature of GetResponse, you can set up your e-commerce site and start building your sales funnels with landing pages, social media campaigns and more.
You can also use it to set up your email list. This is where you can find out more about their software for making sales funnels.
• You need automation:
I was impressed with the workflow builder in GetResponse. It lets you set up automations for a wide range of things, like sending emails, assigning lead scores, contact tagging, segmentation, and data updates (available on higher-tier plans only).
• You need detailed reports:
GetResponse lets you look at a lot of different things, like contacts, newsletters, and automations, in a lot of depth. In the new interface, everything is very clean and well-made.
GetResponse Features
Design your first email with GetResponse
Once you sign up for a free account, you can start designing your email right away. Over 120+ email templates are shown when you click on “Design message.”

GetResponse has seven different types of email templates. You can, for example, teach, promote, and welcome your customers.
Press “Save,” and the email template you like will be in the ‘My templates’ tab. You can use it again at some point.

Afterward, you start making your email in the email builder.
The GetResponse email editor has a lot of features. Whenever you need them, you can see all of the editing tools. So, it’s very easy to figure out.
In the drag and drop template builder, there is a way to make your own HTML blocks.
Drag & drop email editor options
This is where you decide how your email will look and how it will be organized. Set how many columns you want, the colours you want.
You can also:
• Images, Text and Buttons
• YouTube video
• Whitespace and margins
• Social sharing links and
• Custom HTML
Adding videos and images is easy. Your image can either be dropped in or you can look through GetResponse’s free stock image library.
You just type in the link for videos, and it will show up in the email.
If you go to the eCommerce tab, you can add products from your online store to your email. As long as you link with your eCommerce platform, like Shopify, the products are right there on the screen.
Add a “recommended products” area for that extra touch.
Setting up your email for success
You can customize the whole email in one page. Add subject lines, sender email addresses, and choose the right email list to send it to, then click “send.”
The cool thing about GetResponse email tracking is that it lets you keep track of things that happen on the internet:
It’s possible to see what your readers do after they click on the links in your emails. Google Analytics can also be used to track clicks.
With eCommerce tracking, you can see which ads and campaigns bring in money and sales. And you can show that the money you spend on marketing can be worth it.

GetResponse Email Automation
Automated emails are the building blocks of GetResponse’s service. You make the email the same way you would make a normal newsletter. Then, you set the email to be sent as an autoresponder.

The scheduling lets you choose when emails are sent. It’s your choice when to send the email.
You can send it right away, after a few hours, or at the exact time and date you want.
Uncheck the days of the week on which you don’t want the autoresponder to go out, and it won’t.
The “time travel” switch is the best. You can choose to send the email at the recipient’s local time if you do this.
Email analytics
To make sure your email campaign goes well, you need to know how your subscribers received it.
Email campaigns can be good even if you think yours is the best one out there. There’s a chance that your subscribers don’t agree with you.
The most important thing is that you learn what worked and what didn’t work about your campaign with your subscribers, so that you can improve your next campaign.
To do this, look at the campaign’s analytics to see the different metrics that determine how well it did.
From the dashboard, you can see how your list responded to one of your emails.

Marketing Automation Tools
GetResponse is very good at marketing automation. For small businesses, it’s one of the best email marketing platforms because it has a lot of automation tools.

An example of how to make a customer welcome automation:
On to create an automation to welcome your new customers. I start with an automation template that has already been made.

Conditions and actions can be set up in the automation editor.
When a customer buys something from you, for example, you send them an email (action). I send a welcome email as the first thing I do. Add as many emails and rules as you want.
With GetResponse, you can set up automated workflows for things like:
• Lead the qualification
• Engagement and retention
• Post-purchase notifications
• Abandoned cart triggers
• Webinars and online courses
• Sales promotion
• Affiliate marketing
Split testing
If you want to send different versions of your e-newsletter to people on your subscriber list, you’ll do split testing. You’ll send the best version to everyone else on your list.
GetResponse lets you run split tests with up to five subject headers or content variants, so you can see which works best.
It’s possible to do split tests with more than one variable at a time. For example, you can test emails with different subject lines against each other, but both must have the same content (or vice versa).
Some other email marketing tools are a little more flexible in this way. For example, they let you test more variables (like send time or sender name) or let you mix variables during tests.

Funnel builder
A funnel is another way to describe all the steps in a marketing campaign. There are forms, emails, texts, landing pages, and more.
Begin by making a new lead magnet, or choose one of the 17 templates that GetResponse has to help you start.
In the next step, you can choose your lead magnet. Then, you can start building out your sales funnel.
The whole funnel building process is guided. Make sure to do everything at each step and don’t forget anything.

Website Builder
GetResponse has recently added a website builder to their platform.
It is possible to build a website from a template or with the help of AI. With the AI-powered builder, you answer a few questions and GetResponse will automatically make a unique website for you.
After a few minutes of messing around with the builder, you can make a good homepage with very little effort.
The Builder lets you change everything on the page. You can change fonts, text sizes, add or remove images, move elements, change padding, and more.
People who want to add and change pages on the website can use a separate menu to do that. Navigating bars, headers, and footers can all be changed to make them look better. Drag and drop lets you make even more changes when you choose a section.
Webinars
Email marketing platform GetResponse is one of the few with webinars built-in. The process of setting up a webinar is very simple and quick with GetResponse.
After you pick a title, you add the time, date, and length of the webinar. Choose which contact list you want to add your registrants to next, and then you add them.
Autoresponders can be set up so that people who sign up will get them right away.
A link to your webinar will be made after everything is set up. People will be able to sign up there.
Now, you can send invites to your contacts, manage other webinars, and keep track of how well your webinars are going.

Landing Page Builder
The GetResponse landing page builder is included for free in all plans. The landing page builder now has 198 templates.
After you choose a landing page template, you can start making changes. The editing experience is different from the email creator.
The single-column menu on the right has all the things you can move and drop, like text, images, videos, buttons, and so on.
You can start making A/B tests of your landing page right away too. This part of the page lets you make as many different versions as you want, along with forms and thank-you pages.
GetResponse customer support
There are two ways to get in touch with customer service at GetResponse: live chat and email. During business hours, they have live chat support.
GetResponse has a huge help centre that answers all of your questions about the service.
There’s a guide for people who are new to this. Th ere are articles on how to use and set up each feature.
You also find examples of how to make your email marketing and marketing automation better by reading them.
The GetResponse platform is available in 26 languages. Customer service is available in different languages too.
The people who work for the company are usually very helpful and usually answer quickly. Phone support is only available with the Max plan.
GetResponse Integrations
GetResponse has a lot of different integrations for a lot of different things, like eCommerce, webinar hosting, payments, social media, and more. It also has a Zapier integration, which lets you connect to even more apps.
Some essentials for a small business-like Shopify, Magento, Salesforce, PrestaShop, WooCommerce, Zoho, and Google Analytics are present.
It also has an integration with PayPal, Yandex, and Stripe to meet any payment needs.
There is also a WordPress integration so that you can easily change your landing page and Twitter and Facebook for social media.
GetResponse App
As an added bonus, GetResponse also has a mobile app that is great if you want to do things while you’re on the go.
If you have live chats turned on, this helps you respond to them quickly and from anywhere.

On the app, you can change your dashboard, see your data, make newsletters, autoresponders, and more.
Apart from the GetResponse app, the software also has a GetResponse Social Ads Creator app that makes it easy to create aesthetic videos and banners within minutes.
To get both of these apps, go to their Mobile Apps page. You can get them for both Android and iOS.

• When you sign up for a free trial of GetResponse, you don’t have to give out your credit card number.
