DeepFloyd IF’s base and super-resolution models employ diffusion models, incorporating Markov chain steps to introduce random noise into the data. This noise is then reversed to generate new data samples. The tool operates within the pixel space, rather than latent diffusion. It has achieved a state-of-the-art zero-shot FID score and deep text understanding by utilizing the T5-XXL language model as a text encoder. This allows for the fusion of different texts, styles, textures, and spatial relations.
Image-to-image translation can be accomplished by resizing the original image to 64 pixels, adding noise through forward diffusion, and denoising the image with a new prompt during the backward diffusion process.
