Frequently asked questions
Where do my downloads go?
Into your browser’s normal Downloads folder. Turn on Ask me where to save each file in the popup if you would rather choose a location each time.
Why do some videos say Streamed — no downloadable file?
Many sites deliver video as encrypted or segmented streams. There is no single file to save in that case, so ClipSaver tells you honestly rather than saving something broken.
Can I rename a file before saving?
Yes. In the popup list, each clip has an editable name field.
Does ClipSaver collect my data?
No. It sends nothing to any server. See our Privacy Policy.
Is ClipSaver free?
Yes, ClipSaver is free to use.
Responsible use
ClipSaver is a tool. Please only download videos you own or have permission to save, and follow the terms of the sites you visit and applicable copyright law.
